The Heavy North get heavy for their second single from the eagerly awaited second album Delta Shakedown.
With a blistering harmonica start and a pound of drums the new single kicks of with Kenny declaring a New Sensation like a new music INXS. Comparisons to the Ozzie Rock Monsters isn’t that far off, both have/had curly haired frontmen, 6 members, oh and they both know how to kick arse live as well.
However with this single the INXS comparisons end there, as this has more in common with Fun House era Stooges and other early punk/psych bands like MC5. It’s filthy harmonica driving the track on.
For anyone that’s seen the band live this year, you will already be aware of the track as its already a staple in their set and I’m sure with its sexy rocky vibes its going to be a fan favourite before long.
At the moment the lads are on tour in Gibraltar and Spain and preparing to blow minds on the continent this weekend, before returning to get ready for a debut at Kendall Calling before a massive end of year show in Liverpool at the Camp & Furnace.
By then we will all be Dancing, Dancing, Dancing to this track and the new album as the lads continue their quest to be the best band around at the moment – I’ve no doubt.
